NEAE Catalytic was founded by Kenneth Schafer Jr., a third-generation professional who grew up surrounded by the catalytic converter industry. For more than four decades, the Schafer family has been deeply involved in developing, manufacturing, and innovating catalytic converters at a scale few others can match.

From an early age, Ken learned the trade directly from his father and uncles — men who played a significant role in shaping the modern aftermarket converter industry. Their experience, craftsmanship, and problem-solving approach laid the foundation for everything NEAE Catalytic stands for today.

With a team that includes veteran automotive technicians, welders, and PA certified emissions specialists, NEAE Catalytic brings together decades of hands-on knowledge. Every product we design reflects the lessons learned from diagnosing real vehicles, solving real fitment issues, and understanding how converters perform under real-world conditions.

Manufactured In-House in Ivyland, Pennsylvania

We manufacture every converter in-house at our Ivyland, PA facility, where quality control is not optional — it’s personal.
